SOLICITATIONS

Professional staff members shall not solicit or sell any goods or services on school property except as may be approved by the local school principal and the Superintendent.

All fund raising campaigns conducted by school employees in the community or away from school premises to obtain funds for the school, student body, class or club must have prior approval by the Catahoula Parish School Board.  Such fund raising campaigns shall not be conducted during regular school hours with limited exceptions as determined by the principal.

Professional staff members shall not sell merchandise, supplies, and/or equipment, or reference books during the school year and/or during working hours.

Professional staff members shall not furnish or sell lists of students or parents to any commercial firm.  Lists of names of high school seniors may be afforded groups for career recruitment purposes or for the purpose of voter registration through the central office only.

No teacher shall use his or her position in this district to influence parents or students of the district to purchase books or other merchandise, except for materials approved by the Superintendent's office for use in the classroom.

Professional staff members shall not be permitted to use any personal activity for financial profit outside the regular school program.
