STAFF INSURANCE

 

 

Group insurance policies that may be obtained by an individual through a payroll deduction are as follows:

 

a.

Hospitalization Insurance

b.

Accident Policy and Cancer Policy

c.

Income Protection Plan

d.

Tax Sheltered Annuity Plan

   

New employees must enroll in the State hospitalization and life insurance program within thirty (30) days of employment to obtain unconditional approval.

 

EMPLOYEES ON APPROVED LEAVE WITHOUT PAY

 

Any Catahoula Parish School Board employee who is granted leave without pay by the School Board shall be obligated to pay 100% of the premium during the period of leave.  The School Board shall not continue contributions towards the premium.  Employees using sick leave for maternity leave purposes, sabbatical leave, or persons on sick leave that receive pay through accumulated sick leave shall not be affected by this provision and the Board shall continue to pay the necessary premiums.
